Philosophy

Schools play such an important role in helping students learn, develop, mature, progress, and become successful, responsible, happy individuals. At Ritenour Middle School, we believe each student is unique and has the potential to make positive contributions to his or her personal life, to the lives of others and to society.

Therefore, in a cooperative effort with parents, students and school staff, we commit ourselves to providing an educational, developmental, social and personal environment which will allow each student to maximize their self-esteem, self-control, self-worth and self- respect.

The mission of Ritenour Middle School is to prepare our students to become positive and productive members of society. Education is a lifelong process in which the home, community and school actively particpate in building the necessary skills for this process. We value education as the tool to achieve a better quality of life for all.
