The Ritenour School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Denean Steward as the new assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction effective July 1, 2020.
In an effort to continue providing meals to Ritenour students during the district’s closure during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ritenour’s child nutrition and transportation staff have teamed up to prepare and deliver Grab & Go meals to all Ritenour children. PreK-12.
Staff and students will not return to our buildings for the remainder of the school year. However, instruction and learning will continue through June 2.
Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, Ritenour School District students in grades K-12 will see a slight adjustment to the timing of the school day, but will attend school for six less days.
Ellen Kim, a math teacher at Ritenour High School, is the district’s 2020 Diamond Circle Teacher of the Year. Superintendent Dr. Chris Kilbride made the official announcement of the district’s top honors during an online Zoom conference call on March 31.
The Ritenour School District’s $19.5 million zero tax rate change bond issue (Proposition S), originally scheduled to be on the ballot on April 7, will now be decided by voters on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
