The Ritenour School District has announced its 2021 Diamond Circle teachers who best exemplify the district’s commitment to quality education and service.
As Ritenour transitions to Phase 2 in-person learning for grades K-12 and Phase 1 in-person learning at its school for early childhood education, the district will no longer be able to offer meal delivery on its buses each day.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic and the majority of Ritenour students in a virtual learning format, Ritenour staff and families had successful holiday food drives in December 2020.
In January, the Ritenour School District will return from winter break with all students in Phase 3 (full virtual learning) from Jan. 4 through Jan. 14, 2021, which are the last two weeks of the first semester.
The Ritenour School District’s fall enrollment showed a decrease of 183 K-12 students from last year’s official count.
Beginning this year, Ritenour will not be required to make up days when school buildings are closed due to unexpected short-term closures such as inclement weather, illness or utility outages. Instead, the district will implement an Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Plan on these days.
As part of the national 2020 Kids Voting USA, Ritenour School District students elected Joseph Biden as president of the United States.
