Carolyn Fulgham: Behavioral Health Consultant

  • Carolyn FulghamMy name is Carolyn Fulgham. Most of my younger clients call Ms. Carol or Ms. C. I am currently in the position of Behavioral Health Consultant with CareSTL Health in Saint Louis, MO. My office is located in the Husky Health Center at Hoech Middle School. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in African American Studies/Psychology acquired at Eastern Michigan University. I then obtained a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. I am a LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) working on my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). I consistently work on honing my skills by completing online trainings, attending continuing education workshops and volunteering for various events.

    My goal is to empower youth and adults to reach their full potential. I assist them in overcoming personal obstacles to reach their life goals. I use CBT(Cognitive behavior therapy), person-centered, solution focused, strength based, and motivational interviewing evidenced based practices. I enjoy using creative activities and cooperative play. I love writing, sewing, crafts and making treats. I often incorporate these into my sessions. I have enjoyed working within several school districts and organizations in the St. Louis area since 2012. I have created and facilitated after school, school break and summer camps for youth.

    I believe that I organize activities that educate, empower and encourage youth to think and look outside of the box and aim for higher. I believe that every person no matter their age has the potential to achieve great things not just for themselves but for their community, nation and the world at-large. I have spent time in academic, residential and outpatient settings. I assist with helping patients overcome a variety of struggles including adjustment issues, grief and loss, trauma, depression, anger management, ADHD and self-esteem.
