    Hello! My name is Ms. Evans, and I am so excited to be a first-grade teacher! This will be my second year teaching and my second year at Wyland Elementary! We’re going to have such a great year! 

    I graduated from Missouri Baptist University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education, and I am currently working on my Masters of Arts in Education and Innovation from Webster University.

    I have two dogs: Percy and Ginger, who are both 6-year-old Siberian huskies. I absolutely adore my pups, they’re my world and there is never a dull (or dog hair-free) moment with them! 

    Outside of school, I love to read books, craft, complete D.I.Y projects, and spend time with my family. I love to take road trips and travel to new places, but my favorite place I have been is Walt Disney World!

    Hello! My name is J'von Halbert, and I teach 1st grade. This is my 3rd year of teaching, I taught 1st grade last year and 3rd grade the year before. Before coming to Wyland, I taught Pre-Kindergarten for 3 years, and worked in kindergarten classrooms, as well. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Fontbonne University and am currently working on my Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). 

     
    I have 2 dogs, Marley and Alaska, and I love taking them for walks and hikes around St. Louis! Outside of school, I enjoy reading and hanging out with my friends and family. 
     
    First grade is my favorite grade to teach! All year long, we learn so much together and make so much growth by the end of the year. I also have a lot of books in my classroom, so we will all learn to become great readers! I am so excited about having a great year with everyone and I'll see you all very soon!

    Hello!! My name is Mrs.Trusty and this will be my seventh year teaching at Wyland! This is my third year teaching first grade. Before that, I taught fifth grade for four years.

    I have my Master’s in Education from UMSL and I am STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) certified. 

    My husband’s name is Brandon and we have a 5 ½-year-old daughter, Addison, and a 2-year-old son, Oliver. We also have two dogs; Bowzer is a hound mix and he is 14, Kevin is a chocolate labradoodle and he is 4.

    I really enjoy everything outside. We love going on hikes and exploring new areas!! The dogs also love to join us in these activities. I love to read books by the pool, go on camping trips, and spend time with my family.

    Hi there! My name is Maya Ware, and I am super excited about starting my teaching career in first grade here at Wyland Elementary! I graduated from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and with a certificate in Special education. 
     
    When I am not teaching, you can find me reading a good book, hanging out with friends and family, watching Saint Louis City soccer games, traveling, or having a quiet night at home with my cat Luna!  
     
    I am so happy I get to teach first grade! I got the privilege of student teaching in a first-grade classroom and loved it. So it feels fitting that I get to start my career teaching it! 
     
    I cannot wait to get to know and work with all of you!
