5th Grade Classrooms
Hello! My name is Cindy Busby. I have been teaching for 32 years and counting. I have taught in Wyoming, Illinois, and Missouri. My husband and I have five boys which have kept us hopping throughout the years! I am so excited about this school year and can’t wait to meet my students! I love getting to know my students' families and can wait to communicate with all of you!
Hello, my name is Jordan Fluegge! I am so excited to join Marion. This is my first year teaching. I went to school at Southeast Missouri State University. I have one sister, who is also a teacher, and one brother, who is part of the Air Force. I have a dog who has become my pride and joy!!! I am super excited for this school year and to work with such an amazing & supportive staff!
I am Jill Hodges. I received my teaching degree from the University of Missouri in St. Louis, student taught here in the District and moved straight into the same building when I graduated. I am eager to begin my 15th year teaching here in Ritenour with all of you! Over the years I have had the opportunity to teach 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade classrooms as well as a two year position in our Gifted Education program, when it was decentralized (at each school).
Class may look a little, maybe even a lot, different this year. We will have an opportunity to use new tools and techniques to learn that many of us haven’t experienced before – it will be exciting! I have been looking forward to working with you and I am so happy that this day has finally arrived; I can’t wait to grow as a learner right beside each of you!
I have been married to Ryan for 36 years and we have 3 sons. One lives in Kansas City, another in Alabama and the third lives here in St. Louis. Our oldest two are married and each has given us an amazing grandson. Spending time with my family on different adventures has been my passion for years – I cherish the memories we have made working and playing alongside one another.
Hello, I am so excited to be learning and growign with you this year! Although we are starting virtually, we can still have an exciting, interactive year that prepares you for middle school. This will be my 24th year as a teacher and at Marion Elementary. I taught 3rd grade for one year, but 5th all the rest. I love helping to bridge the gap between elementary school and middle school.
