I am Lindsey Clements, and I am teaching 1st grade. This is my 5th year of teaching, and all of which have been in fabulous 1st grade! You may have seen my peacock-themed classroom if you were at Marvin last year. In the past, I have taught orchestra at Marvin (2017-2019). I have a BS in music from Bradley University, in Peoria, IL,  and an MAT in elementary education from Lindenwood University. I am also the dance coach at the high school.  I am so excited to begin this school year, in my favorite grade!

At home, I am blessed with two totally opposite dogs, Wilbur and Ripley, and a husband of almost 2 years, Keith. We live near Creve Coeur. I am passionate about teaching, singing, playing guitar, watching TV, and crafting.

Hi!  My name is Marissa Harper and I have been a part of the Marvin family for 14 years!  While I have spent most of my teaching career in 3rd grade, I am excited for my new adventure in first grade!  I am a mom of two children Trenton (11) and Avery (9), as well as a dog mama to Daisy and Miles.  During my time away from school I love sitting outside on my patio reading or being in the kitchen baking delicious treats to share with my family and friends.  Although this year is going to begin differently from any other, I can’t wait to get to know your child and help them grow!

My name is Stephanie Puzzo. This is my 6th year teaching and I cannot wait to begin this school year! I am a Ritenour alumni, graduating in 2011. My senior year I signed to play volleyball collegiately for Kentucky Christian University, where I also received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In my senior year at KCU, our volleyball team won the school’s first national championship. What a blessing it was to be a part of that team! I am also currently working on my Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at Webster University. Aside from teaching, I enjoy playing sand volleyball, dancing, running, painting, and spending time with my wonderful husband, beautiful daughter Isabella, and silly puppy Mylo.

Welcome to our new First Grade Marvin Stars! This will be my first year teaching First Grade at Marvin but it will be my seventh year being a Marvin Star. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and a Reading Certificate from Lindenwood University.

My wonderful family consists of my husband, my daughter, son-and-law, and 18-month-old grandson. Last but not least, my two 100-pound rescue dogs, Gyspy and Sadie. They went from being abandoned and homeless to living like spoiled princesses. You will hear a lot about my whole family this year and I hope to hear about yours.

Although this year will look very different in school, I will still have very high expectations for you. That doesn’t mean that I expect you to do better than everyone in the class but I expect you to always give your best effort. This year we will become better readers and mathematicians, learn what it takes to be a great citizen, and learn all about how to work with a growth mindset. I look forward to meeting you (hopefully soon) and having a great year together.
