5th Grade Classrooms
Hello! My name is Julie Bober. I am so excited to start another year in fifth grade. This is my 14th year teaching and my 4th year at Marvin. I have a Master’s in Education with a Reading Specialist certification and I am currently working on a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language. I am married and have two kids, Erica and Jackson. I also have two dogs, a cat, and a leopard gecko. My hobbies include reading, walking, biking, and anything that involves being outdoors. Though this year will be different, I look forward to meeting all of you and learning together to make this a great school year!
Hi! My name is Amanda Bush. I am now entering my 17th year teaching. This will be my 3rd year teaching fifth grade. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Drury University and I also have my Master’s in Administration from Missouri State University. I am married and I have 3 boys: Julian 11, Jaxon 7 and Quincy 1. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my older boys play sports, exercising, and cooking. I am excited about this upcoming school year. Please know that we are all in this together. I have been working hard to come with a plan to make this transition to online learning as smooth as possible.
Hi, My name is Laura Hogan. I am excited to be working at Marvin. This is my 8th year teaching and my first year at Marvin. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade previously and this is my first year teaching 5th grade. I am married and I have one child, Alexander, who is three years old. I enjoy reading, being with my family, and watching Cardinals and Blues games. Even though this year will be unlike any other I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Hello, my name is Eric West and I am a new 5th grade Teacher here at Marvin Elementary. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I grew up in the Florissant area and attended Hazelwood schools. In my free time I enjoy reading, longboarding, playing video games, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to teaching and having a wonderful year here at Marvin with my students.
