    All Classes are Monday-Thursday

With the first day of summer classes approaching, here are some helpful reminders:

    • Attendance is extremely important for your child to be successful. Programs are individually structured to meet your child’s academic needs. In order for your child to make progress, consistent participation is necessary. If you know your child is not able to attend a session, please inform the building secretary or lead teacher. Students working to achieve high school credit for the Algebra Prep Course can only have 1 absence and must make up all work missed.

    • Breakfast and Lunch are provided for students. Ritenour provides breakfast and lunch to any student in the summer program. Students taking the bus arrive in time to have breakfast. Students not riding the bus should arrive 15-20 minutes early for breakfast.

    • Transportation is provided for all students but not required. View bus routes for your school building here. Students riding the bus are expected to arrive at the stop closest to their home at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up.
PLEASE NOTE: Children in kindergarten and first grade must have an adult or older sibling at the stop for arrival and drop-off. Students are returned to school to wait for parent pick-up if an adult or older sibling is not waiting at the bus stop.

    • Medication must be administered at home. Although a nurse is available for emergency situations, parents and guardians are responsible for administering medication to their child. Please notify the lead teacher of any new health related concerns not listed on the enrollment form.

    • Summer programming is an extension of the school year. All policies and regulations remain in effect during the summer. Please refer to the district handbook for detailed information.

If you have questions or need additional information, please contact your child’s school.  We look forward to a summer of learning and growing with your child!
