Specials: Art, Music, PE
This is my 34th year of teaching music, with 20 of those years at Wyland. I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education and piano performance. I have taught vocal and instrumental music at all grade levels throughout my career. I love sharing music with students and it makes me very happy to see students become successful musicians! I’ve been married to my husband for 27 years, and we have twin sons who are 22 years old. In my free time I like to read, cook, and make music. I’m looking forward to lots of fun music learning this year!
We are happy to welcome Ms. Kelsey Wright to Wyland as the new art teacher. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education with a focus on graphic design from University of Missouri- St. Louis. Ms. Wright is English-American, and her family comes from England. Other than art, she loves to sing and sang in vocal competitions growing up. Her favorite artist is Vincent Van Gogh. She is excited to join the Wyland specialist team.
I have been a PE teacher in Ritenour for 18 years, with the last 12 of them at Wyland. I have a Bachelor’s degree in history from Illinois College and a Master’s degree in education from Washington University. I have been married to my wonderful wife (who is a kindergarten teacher at Marvin elementary) for 23 years, and I have two awesome sons who are in high school. I also have an adorable little dog named Mochi. My very favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I also love to ride my bike. Every year I do a 100 mile ride at least one time.
