At our school we use the engineering design process to engage students in the areas of novel engineering, coding, architecture and life sciences. We also created and outdoor STEM learning enviornment which includes a mud kitchen to engaged students to STEM using a the outside environment.

Our outdoor STEM learning environment features: architecture (bldg environment), 5 senses sensory garden, flower chalkboards, large group instruction area, mud kitchen, tables and chairs for small group work, 2 apple trees and native Missouri plants which attract insects, butterflies and birds.
