Kindergarten registration for residents of the Ritenour School District is now open for the 2021-2022 school year.

Welcome to the Ritenour School District! We are extremely proud of our students, staff and supportive community and invite you to join our Ritenour family. Here, we are committed to ensuring every student succeeds every day.

Although the registration office is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19, we are accepting student registrations for the current school year, as well as kindergarten registrations for residents (with documentation verifying you own, rent or lease property in your name in the Ritenour School District boundaries) for the 2021-2022 school year. Students must be 5 years of age on or before July 31 to register for kindergarten.

If you cannot provide documents in your name, a residency waiver is required. Registration for students with families seeking a residency waiver will begin on May 28, 2021. If you are seeking a residency waiver, the homeowner will need to provide the required documentation at the time of registration.

Beginning May 28, we will begin registering students in grades 1-12 for the 2021-2022 school year.  This will include families seeking residency waivers, with the exception of unusual situations, listed below.

We will begin accepting all current and new families with unusual situations (families or students in transition, foster care and guardianship issues) starting July 1, 2021. Caregivers will be required to show proof of residency, guardianship, school records, birth certificate, and immunization verification. Please contact (314) 493-6006 to schedule an appointment.

To find your school attendance area, visit our District Map and Attendance Areas page or call (314) 615-4238.

Regardless of the documents that may be available, simply owning or renting property within district boundaries does not establish residency; the primary criterion is the location of the family's actual domicile. The district has the right to request additional proofs at any time or to employ other means to verify residency. Under Missouri law, misrepresenting residency is a misdemeanor. If a family's residency status changes or is found to be inaccurately represented, the district may act to recover the cost of services provided.
