Ritenour Elementary School Parent-Teacher Conferences Postponed Until Later Date
Due to the return of kindergarten students for Phase 2 hybrid learning beginning Oct. 7-8 and students in grades 1-3 on Oct. 12-13, all Ritenour School District elementary school parent-teacher conferences scheduled for that week have been postponed to a later date.
- On Friday, Oct. 2, teachers in grades K-5 will not be online due to professional development at each elementary school. Teachers will not be online with students that day and students will be learning asynchronously. This is a change to the school calendar that originally indicated a full day of virtual learning for K-5 students on Oct. 2. Students in grades 6-12 will still have a full virtual learning day.
- Evening conferences for elementary families scheduled for Oct. 6 (evening), Oct. 8 (evening) and Oct. 9 (morning) will be rescheduled. The new dates are TBD and will be announced at a later time.
- Preschool, middle and high school families will have no change to the conference schedule during the week of Oct. 5-9. All parent-teacher conferences will be conducted virtually.
- Friday, Oct. 9, now will be a half-day of virtual learning in the morning for elementary school students in grades K-5 only to make up for the asynchronous learning day on Oct. 2. This is a change to the school calendar which originally indicated that there is no school for all students that day. Students in grades 6-12 still have no school for the entire day on Oct. 9 due to parent-teacher conferences.
