Reminders for Ritenour High School Students About IDs and Cafeteria Expectations
Beginning Sept. 3, 2019, Ritenour High School will have new expectations in place for students eating breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria and for the visibility of student ID cards. Ritenour High School is committed to the success of students by supporting a school climate that is safe and secure. These updated expectations are designed to ensure Ritenour students have a productive and safe learning environment.
Cafeteria Behavior & Expectations
Students eating breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria and Costilow Fieldhouse Foyer are expected to do the following:
Sit in chairs
Be respectful to all staff members
Throw trash away
Due to the district allergy policy, no outside items from restaurants are allowed in the cafeteria (lunches brought from home are OK)
Student ID Cards
Student IDs must be worn and visible at all times. All high school students are required to wear an ID card while on school premises. Cards are issued to students at the beginning of the school year. Students also use their IDs to access their cafeteria accounts. Students are responsible for reporting lost or damaged ID cards to the office, which replaces them for a small fee ($3).
All staff are expected to wear their IDs at all times as well.
Thank you for your help in continuing to keep our students and staff safe every day!
