Ritenour Welcomes New Assistant Principals at Iveland Elementary and Ritenour Middle School
The Ritenour School District is pleased to announce new assistant principals at Iveland Elementary and Ritenour Middle school, effective July 1.
Seneca Allen will join Iveland Elementary. Allen comes to Iveland with more than 20 years of teaching and administrative experience. He currently is an assistant principal at Arrowpoint Elementary in the Hazelwood School District. Also during his tenure in Hazelwood, he was a summer school principal for Hazelwood West and Northwest Middle School, and a social studies teacher and team leader at Northwest Middle.
Prior to his experience in Hazelwood, Allen was a special education teacher at a middle school in Terra Haute, Ind. He earned a bachelor’s in education for social studies (grades 6-12) at the University of North Alabama and a master’s in educational leadership at Indiana State University.
Allen will replace Indira Larios-Bell, who is moving out of state with her family.
Ritenour Middle School will welcome Sam Brotherton and Sierra Crayton as assistant principals.
Brotherton is currently an instructional support leader for math at Ferguson Middle School. He previously spent eight years as a math and social studies teacher at Oakville Middle School and Hazelwood East Middle School.
Brotherton earned a bachelor’s in middle school math and social studies from University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s in educational administration from University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Crayton has been an academic interventionist at Ritenour High School during the last two years. Prior to her position in Ritenour, she spent a year as a district data specialist for Cahokia (Ill.) School District, two years as a middle school English teacher in Texas, and nine years in the Riverview Gardens School District as an instructional coach, and middle school English language arts teacher.
Crayton earned a bachelor’s in education from Wright State University in Ohio, a master’s in teaching from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois and another master’s in educational leadership from Fort Hays State University in Kansas.
Brotherton and Crayton will replace Angela Chatman, who has been named the new RMS principal, and Stanley Johnson, who is pursuing other interests outside of Ritenour.
