Ritenour Students and Staff Put Diversity on Display at Homecoming Parade

Homecoming King and Queen The Ritenour community celebrated their husky pride at the Homecoming parade and football game Oct. 5. Students constructed impressive floats depicting the theme, "Around the World...Celebrating Diversity."

In a tough competition in the Homecoming parade, Marvin Elementary took first place in the Community category, followed by Buder Elementary in second and Marion Elementary in third.

The senior class of 2020 took first place in the Class category, followed by English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in second and the RHS Choir in third.

Ritenour High School cheerleaders won the Club category, followed by the Jr. Huskies Football team and the National Junior Honor Society.

Unfortunately, the Huskies lost the Homecoming football game to Kirkwood. At halftime, Ryan Thurman and Chelsea Drain were crowned 2019 Homecoming King and Queen.

The parade, football game and dance capped off an exciting weekend packed full of memories for Ritenour students and the entire community.
