Candidate Filing Dates Set for 2020 Ritenour Board of Education Election; Pre-Candidate Information Session Set for Nov. 7
Ritenour residents interested in filing candidacy for the Ritenour Board of Education election on April 7, 2020, may do so beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at the Ritenour Administrative Center, 2420 Woodson Road, Overland, Mo., 63114. Candidate informational packets and filing guidelines will be available. Filing closes at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020.
Three positions will be on the ballot this year, as the three-year terms of current board members Penny Degardin, Ruth Bell Greco and Dr. Brad Thomas expire in April 2020.
Missouri law requires a person to be a U.S. citizen, at least 24 years of age, a resident taxpayer of the district and to have resided in the state of Missouri for one year immediately preceding the election. Board members serve three-year terms and are not paid for their service.
The Ritenour Administrative Center will be closed Dec. 23, 2019, through Jan. 3, 2020.
Ritenour is hosting a pre-candidate information session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Administrative Center for anyone who is considering running for the school board.
