Ritenour Names Bilal Ewing Principal at Marion Elementary School
The Ritenour School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Bilal Ewing as the new principal at Marion Elementary School, effective July 1, 2020.
Ewing has spent the majority of his 22-year educational career as an administrator in the Ritenour School District. Most recently, Ewing was the assistant principal at Iveland Elementary School for the past two years. He also spent five years (2013-2018) as an assistant principal at Ritenour High School after joining the district as an assistant principal at Hoech Middle School in 2006.
Ewing’s longtime leadership and dedication to the Ritenour community will continue helping Marion students reach new heights, said Superintendent Dr. Chris Kilbride.
“Mr. Ewing’s outstanding educational leadership skills are assets that will continue Marion’s commitment to helping every child be successful,” Dr. Kilbride said. “He brings a wealth of experience at every grade level and is focused on ensuring that each student achieves success in a learning environment where high expectations are in place every day.”
Prior to his time in Ritenour, Ewing was a classroom teacher in the Ferguson-Florissant School District and Pattonville School District (1998-2006).
Ewing holds an undergraduate degree in social science from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. He also earned his master’s degree and educational specialist degree from Lindenwood.
He replaces Dr. Denean Steward, who was recently named Ritenour’s new assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction.
