First Day of Virtual Learning - Letter from Dr. Kilbride

Dear Ritenour Staff, Families and Community,

We recognize that today’s first-ever virtual start of a school year included some opportunities for improvement. We heard frustrations from some of our families that their students were unable to connect with some of their classes due to a variety of reasons.

Our technology department specialists and staff at all of our schools worked diligently to address calls and emails to troubleshoot problems, but we know that some families did not get timely responses due to the high volume of messages we received. Our staff will continue to address each and every message we received as quickly as they can so that every student can connect with their classes and begin learning.  

We thank you for your patience and grace as we all navigate the first week of virtual learning. Know we are here to support every student and every family during the bumps we may experience as we use the new tools for engaging our students. 

As a reminder, technology support is available by emailing techsupport@ritenourschools.org. Technology specialists are monitoring this account and addressing concerns and questions from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Families can also email their child’s teachers, their counselors, or building principals and assistant principals. Although there may be a delay in responding, know we will make sure every concern is addressed.

Each day should get easier as we move forward, and I am confident that within a week families that were having difficulties connecting virtually will have their issues resolved.
