Three Ritenour High School Seniors Honored by University of Missouri-St. Louis Bridge Program
Three Ritenour High School seniors were honored in a virtual ceremony upon their completion of an intensive college preparatory Bridge Program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
RHS seniors Cortni Jordan, Aniah Cosby and Joshua Scruggs successfully completed the multi-year program, which was virtual during the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jordan, who earned a scholarship to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, said the UMSL Bridge program prepared her for the rigor of college courses. She is planning to major in pharmacy or criminal justice.
Cosby is deciding between Alabama A&M University and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale to study computer science with a minor in mathematics. She said the Bridge program helped her prepare well for the ACT exam, learn how to apply successfully for scholarships.
“The UMSL Bridge Program has helped me for years, but they really came through making this an emotional experience,” said Cosby.
