The Ritenour School District is pleased to welcome Robert Skinner as an assistant principal Hoech Middle School, effective July 1, 2021.
Skinner has been a high school assistant principal in the Hazelwood School District for the last 15 of his 23-year career as an educator. For the last 11 years, he has been an assistant principal at Hazelwood Central High School. Prior to that position, he was at Hazelwood West High School.
Early in his career, he taught social studies and coached girls track at Hazelwood West High School. He began his career as a teacher at Hixson Middle School in the Webster Groves School District.
Superintendent Dr. Chris Kilbride said Mr. Skinner brings a wealth of leadership skills to the Hoech administrative team.
“Mr. Skinner brings a legacy of strong leadership that has focused on being a champion for students, an advocate for teachers and staff, and a partner with families and the community,” said Dr. Kilbride. “He is a leader who has demonstrated how to build strong school communities that value diversity and enable every student to reach his or her potential.”
Skinner says he’s looking forward to joining the Hoech family.
“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to join the Hoech family and the greater Ritenour community,” said Skinner. “I look forward to creating strong relationships with students, staff and families so that we can work together in building a successful learning environment.”
After earning a bachelor’s in anthropology from Missouri State University, Skinner earned a secondary teaching certificate from Maryville University, and master’s and specialist’s degrees in educational administration from Lindenwood University.
Skinner replaces Stephanie Owens, who is pursuing other interests outside of Ritenour.
