Actor and Ritenour Hall of Fame Member Bill Chott Visits RHS Students
Actor and Ritenour alum Bill Chott (Class of '87) visited with Ritenour High School students in the media and drama classes on Aug. 26. He was in town to receive the "Missouri Legends Award" at the Missouri Book Festival. Chott is a comedian and actor known for his roles in This is Us, The Ringer, The Rum Diary with Johnny Depp and Emmy-winning TV show Wizards of Waverly Place, among many others. In his early days, he studied with comedy giants like Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell and Tina Fey while touring the country with the Second City comedy troupe.
Chott was inducted into the Ritenour Hall of Fame in 2010. He has been back to support his alma mater several times and enjoys talking to students about his passion for comedy, radio and drama. During his time at Ritenour High School, he was a disc jockey for the student radio station and was involved in a number of musicals and drama programs. During his recent visit with KRHS media students, he joined KRHS host Danielle Haynes for a sit down on KRHS radio.
