Congratulations to Mikahya French, a senior at RHS, for signing on April 26 with the Lake Land College Lakers in Illinois to play basketball! French has been a four-year varsity player for the Lady Huskies, and led her teammates as captain for the past two years. This year she also was selected for First Team All-Conference.  

Not only was French a key guard for the team, but her leadership and dedication also were contagious among her teammates, said Huskies basketball coach Micheal Floyd. 

“Mikahya has a tenacious mindset and attitude when she is on the basketball court," said Floyd. "She is a team player and understands that she is at her best when she is helping her teammates be their best."

French has aspirations to attend a four-year college and become a traveling nurse. Her drive and ambition extend beyond the basketball court, and we wish her all the best in achieving her future goals!
