Springtime 2023 Overflows with Husky Pride for its Vocal Soloist & Musicians
Ritenour High School’s music students have had a busy springtime full of successful performances.
Graduating senior Danielle Haynes earned a Silver (Outstanding) rating at the MSHSAA State Solo and Small Ensemble Festival on April 29, 2023 at the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. Danielle’s achievement comes after months of preparation and hard work, including qualifying for State with a Gold (Exemplary) rating at the District level.
The Ritenour Marching Band performed for large crowds in the Valley of Flowers Parade in Florissant on May 7. They marched again in a parade on May 20 in Overland.
The RHS Jazz Band played a two-hour set on May 13 at the Ferguson Farmers Market. As they have each year for nearly 20 years, they entertained market-goers with a wide variety of music, from big-band standards to movie favorites, to pop, rock, and even a couple of polkas.
Their last performance this spring will be in the morning of June 3 at the Overland Farmers Market.
