Ritenour High School Twirler Named Missouri Champion

Jodie Wagster, a junior and featured twirler at Ritenour High School, earned the title of Missouri State baton Twirling Champion in four categories and earned three other awards during the competition March 4-5.

Wagster competed in the March championships in the 16+ division and earned four first-place trophies, two second-place awards and a third-place award. Her awards earned her the title of 2017 Missouri State Twirling Queen in her age division.

A twirler with Kelly’s Kuties, she is part of a team that has been state champions for 12 consecutive years.

In February, Wagster earned first place in the Miss Hollywood Miss Photogenic division of the Silver Knights competition in Chicago. She also earned first place in the high school Down the Field division.

In June, Wagster will compete in the Midwesst Regionals, hoping to qualify for nationals in July.
