Ritenour Schools to Remain Closed Through April 22

After a meeting with St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page and other districts across the region, the Ritenour School District agreed to extend the closure of our schools through April 22, 2020.

The County Executive's announcement included a stay-at-home order until that date, which had exceptions for the essential work our schools are doing to support distance learning and to feed students.

Ritenour schools are on spring break this week (March 23-27). Our schools will begin home learning on Monday, March 30. Click here for more information on home learning in our district.

Please know as a Ritenour family, it has been both heartbreaking to close our buildings to our treasured students and staff and heartwarming to witness the Herculanean efforts by our staff and community to support leaarning, feeding students and providing other supports to families during our closure.

Our teachers and other staff look forward to connecting with students and families remotely again with our online learning opportunities and other services on March 30. During this uncertain time, we must ensure all staff members are focusing on self care. We must ensure we support wellness in the community.

We know, as a Ritenour family, we will weather these uncharted times together by supporting and caring for each other in creative ways while we follow safe social distancing recommendations. Although we are physically distant, we will remain connected!

Please be sure to check the Ritenour COVID-19 website for the latest information from our district, including where students can pick up meals beginning March 30.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented event.
